My experiences in china town
Last febuary my trip to china town was a very good visit.I learnt alot about the the chinese culture and the chinese tradition. When we arrived at china town it was very bright and colourful because the people of china town were prepraing for chinese new year so the was nice decorations and alot of bright colours.China town was very welcoming and it was very inviting for us because there were many chinese signs but they were still in english so we could understand what it was saying and what it was. Also there were many good traditional shops and sights to see for example like the pagoda and there were many dragons for decorations i think this was a very nice touch to my visit.
China day 2 A Trip To China Town
in February, i visited China town which is in London. For me, it was a very good experience, as i was allowed to learn about the culture of the chinese. we visited many shops, and i especially liked the decorations in preparation for the Chinese new year.
There were some great examples of how the eastern hemisphere meets the west, for example :
Banks
telephone boxes
I was lucky enough to travel to China town with a few members of my school, and we visited many shops such as chinese restaraunts and amusement shops.
China town was a great educational experience. if i had an opportunity to go again, i definantly would.
day2
On day 2 we went to china town in london and we went by the undergroung, train. We saw decorations because it was chinese new year and they were celebrating. We were going for like a tour and we saw lots of shops which included pharmacies, suveniour shops and lots of restaraunts. We were looking at all the shops which were being cleaned. We saw a large Pagoda which we were standing by an looking at. Afterwards we went to eat and we went ot McDonals. We learnt that our chinese culture is really impotant beacuse we need to learn about the different views they brung to England. So it was quite important that the chinese people came to this country, we should respect that they show there views.
day 2
Day 2 we went to China Town in central london ,we saw chinese restraunt, chinese suvinours, chinese cinema and a chinese school. I think that this was an interesting experance for me to stay a couple hours in a chinese culture . I enjoyed my day and i wouldnt mind having that experirance again.

Day 1
Day 1
Day 1 was a strange day. First of all i didn't understand why we were focusing on China. However, it soon turned into a fun experience for me and my friends.First of all we were reading through a booklet of which contained information about the background of China. After being drowned by complicated information we then had to survive a powerepoint cointain facts about Marco Polo, a young man who had a heart for exploration. not only did he travell to the brim of china but covered all of it!To be honest I admire his desire which he foucused on and stuck to. After the complicated powerpoint based on China Town - based in London and the "Famous" Marco Polo we were told that we were going to make either a Pagodar, Chinese Masks, Silouettes, Chinese Dragon or Chinese festival lantern. My first reaction was a simple boring "wow" however i dind't know how much fun it really was. I was told i was making a pagoda which to be honest was frustraing, complicating, annoying... well you get the point. My conclusion of this huge paragraph is that Chinese culture is really fun to learn! Its really interesting and creative their culture has taught us many things.
Unfortunately to frustration it caused the pagoda was unfinished R.I.P

Chinese new year masks are not seen at any other time of the year. The exciting and extravagent Chinese new year can last for a week or longer and ends with Yuan Xiou which is a lantern festival. The masks used depict the moods and emotion of enjoyment and happiness which tie in with the ceremonies and festival.Chinese people typically will buy presents, buy new clothes and cook expensive meals for the new year period.Throughout this period many works of arts and crafts like the Chinese masks in their rich and vivid colours are worn and displayed to show the nature of the festivity.

Day one chinese pagoda's.
Chinese pagoda's
Chinese pagoda's are a traditional part of chinese architeture.Pagoda's have been praised for the spectacular view they have to offer. The pagoda is envolved from the stupa from the indian subcontinent.
The earliest large scale stone pagoda is a four gates pagoda at licheng.shandong built in 611 during the sui dynasty like the songyue pagoda. it also features a spire at its top, and is built in the pavillion style.
China Day...Da Pagoda Group
Some pagodas are used as a place of worship as well as being built for other religious functions. Some pagodas can also be either restaurants and hotels. Some ancient pagodas still contain revered buddhist relics. Pagodas are traditional parts of chinese architecture. The oldest fully extant wooden pagoda standing in china today is the Pagoda Of Fugong Temple in Ying County, Shanxi Province, built in the 11th century.
Silhouettes
when i first made the silhouettes, i found it really hard becuse at first i did not know how to make it. you had to get a bright piece of paper and you had to fold it in half. Then you had to draw a chinese style design on the paper using a pencil. After that, you cut out the shape you have drawn, makeing sure that you dont cut the edge od the paper. then you open it out carefully and fold each figure in half separately.finally cut out the detail you have marked along the crease and then open it out and there you have your silhouettes.Art in china started about AD 105, as the years went on silhouettes started to be made.silhuoettes are used for decorations and puppet shows.
